What Makes Telos Unique?

Telos is a college-level, distance-learning institute that combines Scriptural principles and ministry opportunities. In Telos, students are challenged to learn of Christ and His ways and to apply His wisdom to the skills they acquire.

The Telos Institute International was founded in 1997 as an extension of the Advanced Training Institute (ATI), a home-education program for families who seek to study the world through the filter of Biblical wisdom. The entire Telos program is designed to allow students to learn at the college level while continuing in the pattern of home-based education.

Telos’s interdisciplinary curriculum is specifically helpful to students who wish to integrate their love for the Lord Jesus Christ with character development, academics, and practical skills. The Telos experience is designed to assist students in pursuing the fulfillment of God’s purpose for their lives, in acquiring Godly wisdom, and in learning to love serving.

To help students apply God’s wisdom and be successful as individuals, spouses, parents, workers, and communicators, Telos builds its curriculum on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ:

• Christ is the foundation on which Telos courses are built. Students learn to glorify Him through Christlike character and Christ-honoring behavior in a ministry or a career.
  
• Each course emphasizes personal character development.
  
• Courses are designed to help students acquire tools necessary to carry out their callings.
  
• Some Telos courses teach professional skills necessary for careers; all teach qualities essential for success in any area.

Mission Statement

The Telos Institute International was established in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and ninety-seven under the authority of the state of Indiana in order to:

• Support families in working toward fulfillment in Christ.
  
• Set forth recognizable goals along the path of fulfillment in Christ.
  
• Encourage the pursuit of Godliness in character and experience.
