Building on Biblical Principles: The Motivation Behind Telos

In 1984 the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) was founded to provide an innovative home education program to families that seek to train their children in Biblical wisdom. Utilizing the ATI program, home-educating families can fulfill state education requirements while studying an interdisciplinary curriculum founded on Biblical principles and analogies. However, many families wishing to continue the same type of study on a postsecondary level have found such a curriculum unavailable. Thus, The Telos Institute International was founded in 1997. Telos offers a unique curriculum built around principles and analogies found in Scripture. It brings a unity to a student’s studies, rather than supplying him with fragmentary knowledge.

Purpose

The purpose of The Telos Institute International is to provide an interdisciplinary curriculum built upon principles to students interested in Christ-centered distance learning. The Telos curriculum is specifically designed for students who wish to integrate their love for the Lord Jesus Christ, character training, and practical and academic skill development. In short, Telos aims to assist students in pursuing an orderly progression toward the fulfillment of God’s purpose in their lives.

Goal

To train students to be successful as individuals, spouses, parents, employers/employees, and communicators, and to instill a desire to serve both God and man.
