The Cooperative Degree in Music

 

The Telos Institute International has joined with the International Academy of Music to provide a new program that enables you to earn a Bachelor or Associate degree in Music Ministry. Students will take the music portion of their curriculum directly from the International Academy of Music. Telos will provide the courses in Bible and General Studies.

 

  •   Earn a degree that prepares you for leadership in music ministry in the local church

  or other settings.

  •   Develop your musical skills in an atmosphere of excellence, based on a Biblical approach

  to music and worship.

  •   Build a foundation in Bible and life principles alongside your musical development

  to equip you for effective ministry, not just performance.

 

Music Ministry Degree Requirements

 

    Bachelor of Arts in Music Ministry

  •   Bible (27 semester hours)
  •   General Studies (37 semester hours)
  •   Music Ministry (65 semester hours)

  Concentration areas:

Keyboard

Composition

General (voice or instrumental emphasis)

    Associate of Arts in Music Ministry

  •   Bible (18 semester hours)

  •   General Studies (13 semester hours)

  •   Music Ministry (33 semester hours)

Upon successful completion of either of the degree programs, the student should be able to:

 

  •   Exhibit an understanding of fundamental music concepts

  •   Exhibit a working knowledge of Biblical concepts concerning music

  •   Exhibit the basic skills necessary for writing music

  •   Exhibit skills in vocal and/or instrumental expression

  •   Begin or participate in a ministry of music in their local church or community
